Tutoring in the Student Success Center
Free Peer Tutoring
Tutoring is available in the Student Success Center on the first floor of the Gregg-Graniteville Library.
Getting started is easy: Find your course or subject and tutor in the list below, check the tutoring calendar for their schedule, and stop by the Learning Commons during their scheduled hours. Tutors wear USCA tutor badges, making them easy to identify. If you have trouble finding your tutor, ask at the front desk.
What to Expect
Drop-in tutoring is a great place to ask questions, work through challenging concepts, and deepen your understanding of course material. Tutors are here to help you learn, not to do your work for you.
To make the most of your session, bring helpful materials such as your syllabus, textbook, class notes, assignments, or other course materials.
Tutoring is one part of your academic support network. We also encourage you to visit your professors during office hours for additional help with your courses.
Check the Tutoring Calendar
The tutoring calendar is updated daily, and schedules are posted monthly. You can view the calendar by week, month, or as a list.
Please check the calendar before coming to the Student Success Center. We post schedule changes due to illness, appointments, or other circumstances there.
Courses We Support
The Student Success Center provides tutoring for many, but not all, courses. Our tutoring program focuses primarily on 100- and 200-level courses with high DFW rates and courses with high demand for tutoring.
Some academic departments also provide tutors who meet with students in the Student Success Center, so additional tutoring may be available.
Review the tutor and subject list below, then check the calendar to find a time that works for you.
