Temporary, Events Setup Crew Pool, $16.00/hr; 40 hrs/wk, USCA Campus Auxiliary & Support Services
USCA’s Department of Campus Auxiliary & Support Services is collecting application materials for a Full-time, Temporary Events Setup Crew Pool. Under the general supervision of the Events Scheduling Manager, the Events Setup Crew member will:
- Be responsible for event set-up and tear downs for all campus and contracted event equipment and resource needs.
- Work with other set up team members to ensure the location is fully equipped and prepared for smooth execution of the event.
- Occasionally serve as house manager for outside vendors, assist the Events Scheduling Manager in carrying out university work order requests and optimize high levels of guest experience satisfaction.
- Occasionally be required to supervise and provide direction to part time and/or temporary employees.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Must be hospitable and work harmoniously with others.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 Pounds.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess both professional and personal integrity.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, early mornings and times where the event is outdoors or indoors.
- Must be able to handle temperature and weather changes.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and 1-year related experience.
- Must possess a current driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Must be forklift certified within 6 months of hire. Training provided by USCA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, event-related services and technical requirements for events in indoor and outdoor venues preferred.
