University Wind Ensemble (AMUS 184)

University Concert Band

The largest instrumental ensemble at USCA, the University Wind Ensemble is open to all students with instrumental experience. Auditions for chair placement are held at the start of each academic year.  The University Wind Ensemble performs classic and new repertoire for wind band.  The band gives two concerts each year at the Etherredge Center and performs at December and May convocation. 

 

University Jazz Band (AMUS 187)

The University Jazz Band performs many styles of music from big-band swing to latin, rock and funk.  In addition to two concerts each year at the Etherredge Center, the Jazz Band plays at community events and local schools.  The jazz band has performed with world-renowned musicians including Chris Brubeck, Wycliffe Gordon, and Jerry Tachoir.

 

 

Pacer Pulse    Pacer Pulse Athletic Band (AMUS 183)

The heartbeat of the Pacer basketball teams, the Pacer Pulse performs at men's and women's home games at the Convocation Center.  The band was awarded first place in the Peach Belt pep band competition in 2007 and was a runner-up in 2008 and 2010.
