Dewey Scott-Wiley is an Associate Professor of Theatre, and heads up the performance curriculum at USCA.
She received a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre, with an emphasis in Directing, from the University of South Carolina in 1994. She earned a B.A. in Communications and Theatre Arts from Susquehanna University in 1986.
As a professional actor and director, Dewey has worked extensively up and down the east coast, from Off-Broadway, to The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C., to the Dock Street Theatre in Charleston, SC and beyond. She is a long time company member at Trustus Theatre in Columbia, SC, where she continues to act and direct on a regular basis.
Dewey has been recognized twice by the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival for her achievement in Directing. Dewey is an active member of the Southeastern Theatre Conference, and Vice President of the South Carolina Theatre Association.
