USC Aiken Student Summer Housing Information

Eligibility for Summer Housing

To be eligible for summer housing, you must be an accepted student or a continuing USC Aiken housing student.  However, you do not need be enrolled in summer school to live in summer housing, but you do need to be enrolled as a student at USC Aiken for the Fall semester to live in housing during the summer!    

Summer Housing Reservations

Interested students may pick up the USC Aiken Student Summer Housing Application & Contract from the Central Housing office located in Pacer Crossings, Room 130, or you may print a copy from our website. 

Students seeking Summer Housing must complete and sign the USC Aiken Summer Housing Application and Contract form prior to the summer session they wish to reserve a room for.  Completed applications must be turned into the Central Housing office in Pacer Crossings, Room 130.

Only new students to University Housing must submit $150 (security deposit & a non-refundable application fee) prior to check-in.

Changes/Cancellation of Contract

All changes and/or cancellations to the contract must be made in writing to the Central Housing office via fax (803-641-3785) or email (housing@usca.edu) no later than 3 days prior to student's reservation check-in date.  Failure to cancel Summer Housing requests will result in the student remaining responsible for the associated housing fees (full session prices). 

Assignments

All summer students will be housed in Pacer Commons or Pacer Downs for the summer 2018 session.

Assignments will be made by University Housing and requests for specific roommates will be considered, but are not guaranteed.

All students should anticipate having to move at least once during the summer months.  Students will be given at least 2 days advanced notice of when their new assignment is available.

All summer charges will be placed on the student's financial account through the University.  Charges will need to be paid directly to Business Services by the deadlines.  Late fees may be assessed after the due date at the rate of $5 per day up to a maximum of $350.  Failure to pay may result in eviction from summer housing.

Prorated fees will be charged for each term when necessary.

University Housing and USC Aiken Policies

All USC Aiken and University Housing policies contained within the 2017-2018 Community Guide, contract, and USC Aiken Student Handbook will remain in effect throughout the summer.  Failure to comply may result in immediate removal from Housing.  It is the resident's responsibility to be familiar with our policies. 

Check-out Process

All students, except those who are staying for Maymester, are required to checkout at the end of the Spring semester.  Summer II session students who are not staying for the 2018-2019 school year must vacate University Housing by Monday, August 6, 2018 by 5:00pm.

Maymester Check In

Check In for Maymester residents will be on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. Please report to Pacer Commons Suite 200 office to check in.

Maymester Check Out

Check Out for Maymester residents is on Thursday, May 31, 2018 by 5:00 pm. Please sign up for a checkout time with the housing staff.

Summer I Check In

Check In for Summer I residents will be on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 3:00pm - 5:00 pm. Please report to Pacer Commons Suite 200 office to check in.

Summer I Check Out

Check Out for Summer I residents is on Thursday, July 5, 2018 by 5:00pm. Please sign up for a checkout time with the housing staff.

Summer II Check In

Check In for Summer II residents will be on Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. Please report to Pacer Commons Suite 200 office to check in.

Summer II Check Out

Check Out for Summer II residents is TBA.
