If your FAFSA is selected for a process called verification, you may have to request a Tax Return Transcript from the IRS.
Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility
Federal law limits the duration of Federal Pell Grant eligibility to 12 semesters or 600% Lifetime Eligibility of Pell Grant.

FAFSA and Self Service Carolina
Students who complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can view the status of the application on the Self Service Carolina (SSC) website. Sign in using your VIP ID and password.
The 2014-2015 FAFSA is now available online at www.fafsa.gov. Be sure to complete your FAFSA as soon as possible to be considered for the best aid package and to allow for timely notification of your eligibility. Also, you must provide any additional information we need before awards can be made. You can check the status of your FAFSA and review any outstanding requirements on SSC.
You no longer have to manually apply your financial aid to your account balance. Financial aid automatically applies once disbursed to your student account if you have completed all requirements with the Office of Financial Aid.
2013-14 SC Teachers and Career Changers Loan Programs Application
The 2013-14 SC Teachers and Career Changers Loan Application is still available online at http://www.scstudentloan.org/UserFiles/File/PDF/parentstuds/Teacher.pdf. Students are encouraged to download the application and submit it to the USCA School of Education. State funding is limited, and students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Applications are also available in the Office of Financial Aid in 102 Penland.
