First PACE

First PACE is a provisional acceptance program designed for first-year students who do not meet the SAT/ACT, GPA and/or high school class ranking requirements to be regularly admitted as a USC Aiken student.

First PACE is not a program that you can apply to, however, you can be invited to attend USCA through this program by the Admissions Office if you do not meet USCA requirements. Although SAT/ACT and GPA requirements for the program are not determined by First PACE, we are responsible for overseeing and ensuring the academic progress and success of First PACE participants. If you have already applied to the university and you are awaiting a response, please direct all provisional admission decision questions to Admissions at 803-641-3366.

We recognize the difficulties that first-year freshmen students may encounter during their first year and offer you an exciting opportunity to develop your academic skills, monitor your academic progress and become a part of a University that is truly focused on you. USC Aiken is an excellent place to connect with students, faculty and staff and ease into the demands and challenges of college life.

Our primary goal is to help you achieve academic success from the very beginning. From this experience, we hope that you gain the attitude, commitment and confidence for a successful and rewarding First PACE year.

We encourage you to explore our website and learn more about this exciting opportunity.
