Business Administration, 2011
Given the chance, Josh Cline, (’11) made the most of the opportunities that were available to him at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Earning his degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management was not as easy as one might imagine. In fact, Josh shared that it almost didn’t happen.
“Most people don't know I wasn’t initially accepted when I applied to USC Aiken. My guidance counselor and I called and talked to Andrew Hendrix, Director of Admissions, and after a conversation I was admitted to USC Aiken. I took full control and advantage of my college years”. Involvement was one of the keys to his success. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, Intramural Supervisor, a Pacesetter and was elected President of Student Government.
Developing and nurturing relationships was another key to his success. He credits Ahmed Samaha for helping him throughout his collegiate career. “I am sure I caused him a few sleepless nights. He gave his whole heart to me in everything I did and continues to do so today”. Another relationship that made a huge POSITIVE difference in his life was meeting his wife Bethany, who happened to be his TA in the Emerging Leaders class.
Currently a Manager at Enterprise Rent a Car, and living in Aiken, Josh still calls USC Aiken home, a special place that impacted his life for which he will be forever grateful. His parting words of advice for prospective and current students is to, “do your best, and take advantage of everything and everyone that is made available to you at the University.” It’s a great place!
